When You Feel Inadequate!

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” - Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV

Well, hello again friends and fellow readers. Yes, it’s me! I’m back to share a few more nuggets with you.

How long has it been since you just stepped out there and took a chance? You pushed aside those feelings of inadequacy and went for it! Were you convicted in your heart of not doing all that you could in whatever the case may have been? I’m sure that we all have been there at one time or another. I’m on a track to accomplish something that I’ve always wanted to do. You might ask, why has it never happened? Wow! That’s a really thought provoking question. It could be a lack of focus, the thought of failure, inability, a lack of self-motivation, a feeling of inadequacy or the sheer lack of faith in myself to become good.

In a recent Bible Study the question was posed, “do you think that you can do anything that you set your mind to?” There were differing opinions about the answer to that. I guess it depends on your mindset as to how one might answer that question. What do you believe?

When I examined my record, I found that I didn’t have a very good one. What do I mean? Somehow I have discovered that I lack intentionality, follow through, and completion. I often tell myself that I can do it, but then….I go to the drawing board, I sketch a vision on the board, then I stop. There’s something missing. I’m stuck. How do I complete the vision. Hmmm. There’s that “aha” moment! I can’t do it alone.

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” - Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬.

Now I need to talk to God. I’ve found that sometimes we take the long way around in order to get peace and reassurance. We fret, worry, and fume before we go to our Father. I’m going to accomplish this goal that I have, because I’m letting God take the lead. I’m going to prepare myself well, and enjoy the ride.

As I stopped to really think about that, I realized that we aren’t always as honest as we should be. Are you living your truth or are you deceiving yourself as to who you are, or what you really want. Yes, the time will come when you don’t quite know how you feel. You’ll question whether you are coming or going. That’s okay. Just don’t allow yourself to stay in that posture. Reach out! You don’t have to do it alone.

When you find yourself feeling a little overwhelmed and inadequate, just remember that with Jesus you are more than enough!

“Be assured, if you walk with Him and look to Him, and expect help from Him, He will never fail you.” ~~ George Mueller ~~

We’ll talk again later, but until then remember, you’re wished much love, joy, peace, and blessings. ~Barbara G.
