Timing is everything. If you don’t believe me talk to a relay runner that is passing or receiving a baton, with just the slightest miscalculation of timing the baton drops, or the runner takes off empty handed. There have been so many times when we speeded up the process which only caused things to slow down. For instance, the time we paid to expedite the renewal of Charles’s passport thinking that would allow us to leave the country on our timetable. Needless to say, this was only one of the many times that our timetable was not in alignment with the journey ahead. Spoiler alert, you cannot force or manipulate time and stay in alignment!
From the very start off our journey nearly a decade ago we were on a Divine Assignment to spread and be love, we just didn’t know it yet. Charles and I answered a call to go to Paris, experience life in Europe, and write books. Little did we know it would be nearly a decade before our passports would be stamped and validated for such a journey. However, knowing what we know now, I think it’s safe to say we would have still taken the same leap and made the same moves.
Our lives are now so much more fulfilled and filled with the most incredible people and experiences as a result of saying YES to the unknown and taking the leap into a life of adventure. Our departure from California would be our initial and most heart-wrenching leap for many reasons. First and foremost because once again we were giving away everything in our home to family and friends. Secondly, I was leaving my son and his family causing me a literal heartache with sadness. Unbeknownst to Charles and me at the time, it would be two years before we would return to California for a visit. Our departure from California was divinely planned and when it was time to go; it was time to go! Nothing or no one could stop that flow and things opened up for us in a series of one suddenly after another. Timing is everything.
Fast forward to nearly ten years after we took our first leap from California, I sit in reflections as I type this post. Charles and I have driven cross country several times, stayed in some of the most incredible places, including the beach house on Folly Beach, SC that we are currently staying in. We have encountered the most incredible collection of people from around the world that have entered our lives for either a reason, season, or lifetime. We have loss dear family members, friends and even faced a life-threatening hospitalization during 2021. Didn’t See that Coming!
Charles and I are now self-published authors with three books between the two of us. Currently we are individually working on manuscripts for our next books. We are producers/co-hosts of the Love Drops Podcast which we launched in 2020! As a result of our incredible journey Charles and I alongside Walter Pinkney, will soon release our debut Documentary; 5:16 Docuseries which is currently in post-production!
Wow, it has taken nearly a decade before we would take flight to explore Europe and finally reach Paris, France, all in divine timing! Yes, timing is everything. One of the greatest lessons that Charles and I have learned is when we are aligned with our peace and love; together we are an unstoppable force of One Love in alignment with Divine Timing. Most recently we were in Augusta Georgia at the time of the devastating direct hit from Hurricane Helene. Read about our experience!
As Charles and I walked around the neighborhood and gazed upon the devastation, we did so in the frequency of love and light. Walking back to the condo where we were staying at the time; I paused and said to Charles “We Can Go Now!” Timing is everything. As we walked through destruction and chaos in love; I heard and shared the message with Charles that we can go now. Until my walk on the beach yesterday I thought I was referring to leaving Augusta, Georgia. However, I had an “Ah-Ha” moment as I realized that “We Can Go Now!” was referring to our European Adventure!
As previously mentioned, when it’s go time, the way is opened, and things click beautifully in flow! After nearly a decade of preparation within thirty days of getting that download “We Can Go Now” Charles and I are booked for Europe and will be leaving in just a few days. All things are aligned beautifully including people already in place for us to connect and shine with. We are living out our mission to change the world one love drop at a time, as we are leaping overseas as One Love Ambassadors.
